Data protection – explanation about duty to provide information
We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We therefore process your data only on the basis of the statutory provisions (GDPR, General Data Protection Regulation; TKG, Telecommunications Act 2003). This privacy statement outlines the most important aspects of data processing within the context of our website.
Contact with us
If you make contact with us using the form on our website or by email, the data you provide will be stored by us for six months in order to process the enquiry and in case there are any follow-up questions. We will not disclose this data without your consent.
Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files which are stored on your end device with the help of your browser. They do not cause any damage.
Our website uses features of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The use includes the ‘Universal Analytics’ operating mode. This makes it possible to assign data, sessions and interactions across multiple devices to pseudonymous user ID and thus analyse a user’s activities across devices. For this, cookies are used, which allow an analysis of usage of the website. The information generated by the cookie is usually transferred to and stored on the server of the operator. You can prevent this by setting your browser so that no cookies are stored.
We have concluded a corresponding agreement with the provider for contract data processing. Your IP address will be recorded, but immediately pseudonymised (e.g. by deleting the last 8 bits). This only allows a very approximate localization. The data processing takes place on the basis of the legal provisions of Art. 96 subsection 3 TKG and Art. 6 subsection 1 letter a (consent) and/or f (justified interest) of the GDPR.
Our concern in the meaning of the GDPR (justified interest) is the improvement of our services and our website. Protecting the privacy of the users of our website is a priority for us. Therefore, your user data will be pseudonymised.
In principle you are entitled to the rights of information, correction, erasure, restriction, data portability, withdrawal of consent, and objection. If you are of the view that the processing of your data breaches data protection laws, or that your rights to data protection are infringed in some other manner, you may complain to the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority.
